What to check

The Request To Exit (RTE) button is likely to trigger some other door control device, such as Keypad or Fob system, If the RTE button fails in short circuit / pressed ON, mode the door will be kept open.

If the RTE button is using Normally Closed contacts directly, test the contacts for continuity.

Corrective Action

Replace RTE button with a suitable type.
