What to check

In the door panel measure for 12v DC on the red & black wires at the camera. If there is voltage it is possible the camera has failed. If there is no voltage, then check other possible causes.

If you have a test monitor, check for composite video output at the camera terminals between “VID” and “-“ or directly on the camera itself between the yellow & black wires.

Corrective Action

Replace the camera.

The camera is 12v DC and it is only powered during the period when the subject illumination light is ON, which comes on automatically when any door panel button is pressed.
