What to check
In the telephone, test the microphone by temporarily linking terminals 'L' & 'P'. Speak or blow into the handset microphone and you will hear yourself back through the handset speaker. If you don't, the microphone may have failed.
Corrective Action
Replace the handset or patch lead.
