What to check

Check the DC voltages at the door panel amplifier.

With the wires to terminals 'D' and 'E' disconnected check the voltage between '+' and 'D' and '+' and 'E' - Normal reading between 6-12v DC

Please note - there are two types of amplifier;

3 terminal - marked E, D and C and 4 terminal - marked +, -, E & D

NOTE: 'C' and '-' are the same and the terminal marking may be either or both.

As there is no '+' terminal on the 3 terminal amplifiers use the 12v + from either the lamp or the common wire to the push buttons

Corrective Action

If there is no voltages on D or E replace the amplifier.

3 terminal part ref: 92ETXAMP (pre 2015)

4 terminal part ref: 10ETXAMP (2015 on)

Note; from a preventative maintenance point-of-view we recommend replacing the speaker at the same time.
